To further the advancement of the pure-bred pug;
To do all in its power to protect, promote and advance the betterment and interests of the pure-bred pug;
To sponsor and promote pure-bred pug rescue;
To encourage sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, obedience trials, and all other AKC events;
To conduct AKC sanctioned matches and dog shows under the rules of the American Kennel Club
